The presentation is over. It was that first pancake that doesn't turn out quite right but has potential.
I can become a good presenter as long as I pull my head out of my ass, self-organize to do 1 rehearsal before hand, and start actually reading my slides instead of browsing through them.
But yes - I presented in front of about 30 people at the EcoFair on the topic of incentives for renewable energy and I did (relatively) well!

Carl walked in. 'Where's Claire?'
'Um... well... she's having first contractions...'
'You are saying that your wife is having contractions, and you are here, at my presentation?? She'll kill me...'

James: 'Whoa, when did Carl get married??'
'Remember the French girl that came to visit? Well, she kinda never left...'

The weather's gorgeous, I am on campus anyway, so I wonder over.
'Um... are you interested in a position? A more committed position?'

'We are overextended. If HR lets me, I'd hire you immediately. We are supposed to post an opening, but that's time we don't have and you have already started working with us... Can you start immediately?'

So... waiting for the email. Damn procedural requirements.

У меня лэптоп. Куплен в Канаде, ибо я здесь живу.
На него надо наклеить русские буквы, так как печатать вслепую я не умею. Буквы есть, были заказаны чуть ли не полгода назад, но потеряны где-то в квартире... Их надо найти, потому что они красивые, золотые, и жалко их потерять совсем. Приеду - займусь. Сейчас я по-прежнему у родителей, и них все есть.
